Funding goal reached!
The FOSP volunteers have been busy counting up all the various contributions and pots of money from recent events and are excited to announce that we not only met our fundraising goal for the year, but we actually exceeded it! We’ve raised over £21,000 for the school, all thanks to your generous support, thank you.
This is an incredible figure and very much needed as the new KS2 playground equipment is going to cost £20,000. By reaching our target, it means we can go into September able to support even more school trips, provide additional resources and pay for curriculum essential items and enrichment.
This has been a busy year and as it has been the first ‘normal’ year since COVID, we have been finding our feet in working out what to do and when, as well as testing out some new ideas. You may not know that a large part of the FOSP committee were new this year and have been having a thorough handover from those parents whose children are in years 5&6 and will be moving on soon. We are going into next year with an even better understanding of what the parents and children of St Peter’s want, and also hopefully how we can spread activities out more evenly throughout the full school year.
It would be nearly impossible to thank all the teachers, staff, governors, parents, and children who have helped out at events this year individually as so many people have pitched in. FOSP hopes you and your children have enjoyed the FUNdraising events we have put on this year and will join us in thanking our amazing team of volunteers who make it all so brilliant: T•H•A•N•K•Y•O•U
As ever, we welcome any and all support throughout the year. For example, we will shortly be putting out a call for volunteers for the Fireworks night on November 4th. Every parent is automatically a member of FOSP and we are keen to welcome every parent to meetings, to volunteer, and to enjoy all the events.
To help explain how much FOSP provides to the school, take a look at our summary of what we have helped fund in 2022/2023.
FOSP wish you all a happy and restful summer and can’t wait to see how much the children enjoy the new play equipment being installed once they return in September.
