Autumn term update – 2024/2025

We’ve had one of our best autumn terms yet, raising an incredible £13,757.69!

This is an amazing achievement, as it means we’ve already reached over 60% of our annual target. A huge portion of this came from fireworks night despite the challenges we faced with that event, so we are very proud and grateful to have reached this figure.

A huge thank you!

None of this would have been possible without the support of our fantastic volunteers, teachers, and local businesses. We are especially grateful to:

This long list of supporters shows just how much we rely on the generosity of our community to raise the funds the school needs each year. Thank you all!

Where does the money go?

Every penny raised goes into the FOSP bank account, ready to be allocated to funding requests from the school. The process is simple: the school submits a request form detailing what they need, who it benefits, and the cost. Our committee then reviews and votes on each request.

Here’s what we helped fund last term:

  • A pantomime performance
  • CGP grammar and maths homework books
  • Ukuleles and ukulele lessons
  • A wooden teepee playhouse
  • Write Like a Ninja books
  • Hi-vis vests
  • Books
  • No parking signs to improve safety
  • School trips

Without this funding, some of these items simply wouldn’t be possible, or parents would have to contribute more towards school trips, something that can place extra pressure on families. This is why FOSP’s work is so important. We’re helping to provide exciting enrichment opportunities and ensuring a more inclusive school experience for every child.

Looking ahead

With such a successful term behind us, we’re excited for what’s next! Keep an eye out for upcoming events, and as always, we’d love more volunteers to get involved. Whether you can spare an hour or help with a big event, every little bit makes a difference.

Thank you again for your support – we couldn’t do it without you!
