A sparkling success: Fireworks Night 2024
Our annual fireworks night was a huge success, and we owe it all to the amazing volunteers and supportive local businesses who helped make it happen.
A big thank you to:
- Heritage for providing advertising, helping us sell out of tickets
- The Normans sweet shop for kindly selling our paper tickets
- Vital Workplace Training for offering free first aid services
- Coggeshall Catering Company for cooking delicious hog roast rolls and hot dogs, charging us only their costs
- Shaken Udder for providing free hot chocolate and milkshakes at cost
- Dynamic Fireworks for putting on an absolutely incredible display
We’re also extremely grateful to our match funder, who secured £1,000 through Barclays. That generous contribution helped us achieve a fantastic profit of £7,463.41!
A challenging change
This year’s event came with an unexpected challenge. In early October, Parentkind, our PTA insurer, announced that PTAs would no longer be covered to manage the firing of fireworks from 1 November. With just one month to go, we had to act quickly.
After exploring several options, including alternative insurance, changing the event date, or hiring professionals, we worked with Dynamic Fireworks, who were already supplying the fireworks. They kindly agreed to manage the display for us at a significantly discounted rate. Their support was invaluable, and the result was the best display we’ve ever had!
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, or supported us. Your contributions not only lit up the night but also helped raise vital funds for our school.
