End of year update - 2024/2025

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that has organised, volunteered or supported our events this year. We have been able to raise a brilliant £21,000 from our fundraising activities, exceeding our annual target!

This year, we have been able to fund for the school:

  • Pantomime performance
  • Homework books
  • Ukuleles and lessons
  • Preschool wooden teepee
  • Storywriting books
  • Hi vis vests
  • Two Johns online safety workshops
  • Santa books and presents
  • Yoto players and story cards
  • Scales for maths lessons
  • Funding up to £20 per child to subsidise all school trips, meaning many trips were free to attend
  • KS1 mobile zoo visit
  • A variety of counselling and other targeted therapy interventions for children as part of a new school wellbeing project with Mrs Sullivan and Miss Wilding
  • Our Happy Mind, a whole-school wellbeing teaching package, which has started from Summer term
  • 6 new classroom fans and 2 industrial fans for the hall
  • TeachMate AI subscription
  • Lunchtime play equipment
  • Year 6 leavers’ celebration activities
  • End of year pizza buffet lunch for staff
  • Role play shop resources
  • VR pupil workshops
  • Upgrades to the sensory room
  • Over 900 ice lollies

We’ve also paid for so much through the Helping Out Fund including uniform, after school activities, food shopping and other urgent needs.

FOSP 25/26

We are busy making plans for next term, including fireworks night and our Christmas events (which will be complicated due to potential building works at school). If you can help us with plans for fireworks night, please join our new group.

We really need some more people on our committee next year as a few people are standing down from their posts after dedicating several years to FOSP. We always welcome new ideas and people can help in many different ways outside of meetings, whether helping with cashing up after events, helping to run the 150 Club, buying items for our tuck stalls or writing social media posts. Our AGM will be in early October, and we will provide more information on this at the start of next term. Please get in touch via [email protected] if you have any questions about being involved with FOSP next year.
